Toyota has announced that their new affordable sports car – the Toyota GT 86 - will cost from £24,995 when it arrives in June. After what seems like decades coming, the Toyota GT 86 – Toyota’s ‘affordable’ sports car for the masses – finally got revealed in production guise at the Tokyo Motor Show. Land Rover vows its proposed LRX coupé will beat Europe’s tough CO2 emissions targets, thanks to a diesel hybrid powertrain announced today. The company unveiled the LRX concept car, and confirmed that the firm is working on a 2.0-litre diesel hybrid for the LRX and Freelander. The hybrid LRX is claimed to emit 120g/km of CO2, meeting the European Union’s proposed CO2 target.
The fourth annual Auto Design Prague conference will take place on 18 September at the National Technical Library in Prague-Dejvice. The event is open to professionals and the wider public, and will include a program of 10 presentations by designers including vice president of Ferrari design, Flavio Manzoni; Volvo design director Thomas Ingenlath; Jaguar's advanced design director, Julian Thompson, and Qoros head of design, Gert Hildebrand.
